Overview

This page describes the actual state of cookies and similar technologies on the Blue Lagoon Maritime Trading Ltd website. It is intentionally concise and reflects only what the project actually does:

  • The website does not intentionally use advertising or profiling cookies.
  • The project does not add analytics tools; no analytics script is loaded by this site.
  • The language switch between English (/) and Italian (/it/) works through static links and does not require cookies.
  • The online forms do not install marketing cookies.
  • Where strictly necessary for security or for delivering the service, technical data may be handled by the technical providers hosting the website.
  • Google Maps is not loaded on page open. It is activated only when the user presses the “Load map” control.

Cookies and similar technologies used

At present the website does not deploy any first-party cookie or local-storage data of its own beyond what may be strictly required for security or for ensuring the correct technical delivery of the requested content.

The website does not set marketing cookies, retargeting pixels or fingerprinting mechanisms.

The language preferences are encoded directly in the URL (English at the root, Italian at /it/) and do not require any cookie to be set on the user’s device.

Google Maps

The Google Maps interactive widget is presented behind a placeholder. No third-party connection to Google starts before the user clicks “Load map” on the Location section.

After activation:

  • Google may receive technical data (such as the IP address and information about the browser and device) and may set cookies or use equivalent technologies under its own terms;
  • any such cookies are controlled by Google, not by Blue Lagoon Maritime Trading Ltd.

Users who do not want this third-party connection can simply not press “Load map” and continue using the address and the external link to Google Maps.

How to manage cookies

The user can manage or delete cookies through the settings of their web browser (for example: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Instructions are available in the help pages of each browser.

For more information about the cookies used by any third-party service that may be activated from the website (such as Google Maps once loaded), please refer to the documentation published by the third party.
